Meet The Instructors Master Steven M. Franz, 7th Dan

Master Franz began training in 1978 at Duhamell's Tae Kwon Do school located in Angola, Indiana. In 1987, he earned his Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in Moo Duk Kwan Tae Kwon Do. Over the years, Franz's dedication to quality martial arts instruction has earned him several top honors. Perhaps one of his most noted accomplishments included the listing of Bushido Kan Karate Dojo in the Professional Karate Commissions top 20 rated schools in the nation from 1994 to 1999. He has been awarded Instructor of the Year in 1995, 96 and 97 and Bushido Kan Karate Dojo was awarded the Top School Honor in the Mid-West Region in 1995 and 96 by the American Mid-West Karate Association.

Franz, a seasoned competitor himself, has won five world Karate titles in Kumite and three world titles in Kata (forms). He is a former National, Regional and Indiana and Ohio State Karate champion. In 1997, 98 and 99 Bushido Kan Karate Dojo won the Regional School Grand Champion Title at the PKC Mid-West Regional Tournament hosted by Lion's Tae Kwon Do in Pierceton, Indiana.
